Intervention of children with autism using cognitive skills training program for sensory issues and cognitive delays
Abstract
This paper demonstrates the extensive clinical use of cognitive skills training program which has been developed to address the sensory needs and cognitive delays during early period of development in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder , this program is extensively researched and copyrighted by Govt.of India. The program uses 14 different developmental domains to intervene the various cognitive , physical , sensory , speech , behavioural and several other issues present in delayed developmental milestones . We are using case study of two children with the diagnosis of ASD in this paper
Biography
Ms. Vibha Sharma is a self-driven, dedicated developmental and rehabilitation professional who received her bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Therapy (BRT) from the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (formerly National Institute for the Mentally Handicap), Delhi and graduated from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She completed her post graduate degree in clinical and developmental psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi. She also received training through the Educator Empowered Program certified from University of Queensland Professional and is an ESDM trained, Coding certified professional. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Disability Management from Open University of Netherlands .She is currently member of SITE SIG in USA and also a member of Learning Disability Association ( LDA) of America . She is working as a disability expert with Academic Council of United Nation Systems ( ACUNS ) and one of her research paper got accepted in Academic Council of United Nation Systems ( ACUNS) and she is going to represent her research in June 2023
