The report examines the influence of nutritional factors on the development of generational moronic degeneration in the whole and in psychoneurological diseases in particular. The development of psychoneurological diseases is currently considered to be a global dysfunction of various body systems - immune, hormonal and metabolic ones. Yet, the increasingly embracing spreading of the mentioned diseases alongside with the so called "rejuvenation" and the utmost aggravation of patients as well, evidentially indicate a general population tendency towards a precise decrease in the sanogenetic potential of the human body. The components of the food allowance are testified in the report as factors that can provide antigenic stimulation to the body, being a causing source of toxins (including those formed as their normal phenomena in the gastrointestinal tract) and regulating the intestinal microbiota therefore making a significant contribution to the total summation load on the body thus providing systemic inflammatory processes. The report reviews efficient strategies and the available claimed experience of using therapeutic diets considered as a basis for managing adult and pediatric patients with psychoneurological diseases, including patients with psychoneurological development disorders, organic lesions of the central nervous system, convulsive syndromes, autoimmune diseases (systemic and organ-specific) equally with basic eliminatory dietary interventions necessary for maintaining concomitant remission, secondary preventive principles and the fundamentals of forming the population health at large.

Vasily Generalov is a practicing neurologist, epileptologist, the head of the PlanetMed complex diagnosis clinical institutions network. In 2011 he defended the doctoral dissertation at the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, where he lately taught and got the Professor Degree. Today V. Generalov is lecturing at the Bashkir State Medical University. The international practice of managing patients with pharma-resistant epilepsy, epileptics encephalopathy and pregnant women is widely spread. Generalov is known in Russia as a pioneer and the leading expert in the use of the ketogenic diet when treating somatic and neurological diseases. He is a founder and the expert at the Scientific Research Center for Problems of Generational Degeneration.
