Immunometabolic status in the neuropsychiatric diseases diagnosis and treatment
Abstract
The report is devoted to consideration of the polyetiologic dysfunction of various body systems’ influence on the beginning and development of neuropsychiatric disorders. The factors of polysystemic dysregulation of the body and their association with the formation of pathopsychological symptomatology are thoroughly considered. The influence of dysmetabolic status on the development and functioning of the CNS, including both in the structure of genetically determined syndromes and functional metabolic disorders associated with dyshormonal status and immune dysregulation mediated by infectious and non-infectious triggers, is reviewed separately. Metabolic dysfunction is taken into account from the position of causal links between integration of somatic and psychiatric disorders in the formation of a systemic pathologic processes continuum. The report highlights the elaborated clinical and laboratory approaches to the diagnosis of the conditions alongside with the formation of pathobiochemical propaedeutics as a physician’s tool taken in as the basis for further construction of the therapeutic strategy of patients treatment being illustrated by the own physician's clinical experience.
Biography
Tatiana Obodzinskaya is a practicing psychiatrist, psychotherapist, Head of the Department of Mitochondrial Medicine of Complex Diagnosis Clinical institutions “PlanetMed” Network. During the period of 2016-2018 years, she taught at the Psychiatry and Medical Psychology Department of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, frequently has the teaching experience at universities as a guest lecturer at present. Tatiana Obodzinskaya is the author of methodological manuals and educational courses on metabolomics and pathobiochemistry for doctors of various specialties. Among the issues being also highlighted in her articles are the following ones: diagnostics and neuropsychiatric diseases treatment for children and adults, including neuroimmunoendocrine, somatopsychiatric and hereditary pathologies. Obodzinskaya is a specialist of authority in the orphan diseases treatment. She is known in Russia as the leading expert in metabolomics and metabolomic medicine. Tatiana Obodzinskaya is a researcher, a Scientific Secretary of the Council of Scientific Research Centre for Problems of Generational Degeneration.
